Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding, KNPCVS Shirwal organized three days residential training on “Modern Goat Farming” during 5th -7th September 2018 at KNP College of Veterinary Sciences, Shirwal. The experts of the college delivered lectures on the various topics related to goat farming viz. management, breeding, feeding, health care and different Govt. schemes of goat farming. The demonstrations were organized at instructional livestock farm complex, KNPCVS Shirwal and field visit was also organized to a progressive goat farmer in the training programme. Feedback from the trainees was taken and certificates were distributed at the hands of Associate Dean, KNPCVS, Shirwal. Training manual on “Modern Dairy Farming” was distributed to the trainees. A total of 19 participants from different parts of Maharashtra were participated in the said training. Dr. T. C. Shende, Assistant Professor, Department of Animal Genetics and breeding worked as training coordinator for this training.
